Arco ten Klooster joins Sustainalize

Arco ten Klooster (1971) has joined Sustainalize as a partner, making us a company with three partners and more than 25 consultants. Arco has been involved with Sustainalize for some time, and due to our growth we decided to strengthen our ties further. He will mainly focus on further professionalizing organizations, in addition to his consultancy activities in the field of non-financial information and reporting.

Upon joining Sustainalize, Arco is returning to his previous field of expertise. From 1998 to 2013, Arco worked at PwC Sustainability and led the advisory and assurance practice around social reporting. After spending some time in the financial sector, Arco is now once again occupied with advising on strategy development, setting up reporting systems and guaranteeing the quality of data.

Arco studied Business Administration at Nyenrode and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Later, he completed a postgraduate course in the field of auditing at the Erasmus University. He has written many publications during the 20 years that he has worked in the areas of sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, and counts many large national and international companies among his customers. Arco was also one of the founders of the Transparency Benchmark, and he chaired the working group that wrote the Guideline 400 on non-financial information for the Dutch Accounting Standards Council.

“It’s great how Nick and Justus have expanded the company since 2010,” says Arco about his affiliation with Sustainalize. “We have worked together intensively in the past, and we know each other well. It is great to be part of this club. The quality of the team and the culture within the organization is really special and I am looking forward to the coming years in which Sustainalize can develop even further – including in the Belgian and German markets.”
